Project WILD is an interdisciplinary wildlife-based environmental education that focuses on teaching “how to think, not what to think.” Lessons are about students learning skills such as critical thinking, curiosity, research, and stewardship through interactive activities based on real-world examples and experiences. Take students on field explorations to find, observe, and collect data about water quality and the types of wildlife that can live in their local waters. Or have in-classroom art activities that understand life cycles of insects or physical adaptations of species. This is a field-tested, national standards aligned curriculum (NGSS & NM standards also applicable) used by teachers internationally since 1983. All curriculums are adaptable for different age ranges and fun for all ages.
